Building a website?

i would like to build a website.

Im no techno weenie but i%26#039;d like to go for buying or creating a host/domain name???if possible

so for example i just want to create a website all about myself and my website will be called wwww.allaboutme.com or .co.uk....

anyone have advice....has anyone created a website before, what were your steps? is it costly (i dont mind paying) how does the paying thing work, you pay per month that your website is live????

Register your domain.. like register.com

A host like rackspace or geocities, .Mac, or however you want it.. Not everyone wants a registered domain name as you ahve to pay for that in addition to having a host paid for.

An app or professional to design your page.

Sometimes you can bundle these things, Check godaddy.com

I recommend you find a good host and use something nice like RealMac Software%26#039;s Rapidweaver to create your site and upload it.
