when i use slices for text, the more text i add, the more the rest of the page/slices distort. how can I stop this? it seems redundant to re-place each slice in a table. or is the way it has to be done..?

Methinks you are thinking inside the %26#039;box%26#039;, rather than
outside it! ;o)
Apply constraints to the HTML object that contains your
text, and then that text won%26#039;t distort the page.
If you post an example, here, or outside a answers, you just
may get a more specific answer.
