I have a webpage publishing program and want to design a webpage for a friend. Does it cost anything to put it on the net?

Not if you use a free web hosting site! There are many out there. Just type free web hosting in your search box. You may also find that you have webspace in your ISP account. Usually, they will provide at least 20 megs of space when you sign on.

NO you DONT have to buy a domain name! A domain name simply directs someone to a site that is already up and running! You CAN however buy a domain name once your site is up and you want to show the world! A domain name simply makes it easier for people to find it! When you upload your page to your webspace, it will have its own url. All a domain name does is direct itself to that url!

You will have to pay some amount of money, but if you want some free webhoster here are some:

usually this depends on how many works do they make in the year. This can be difficult to say because some can sy that they earn more and others earn lower. The best thing to do would be getting a jog first so you can get experience and also get in touch with someone that studies at the same school that you do. maybe he/she needs help to do somenthing and in this way you could get some experience because in the beginning it might be very hard to find something that pays well.

You need to rethink all of your plans if you are under the impression that freelancers get a salary.

Other Replys:By freelancer I assume you mean self-employed. This will depend on your motivation and what you want to do in life. You want to work all the time you can make as much as you want. You want to make a medium income and play some then you make $30,000-50,000 I would say. You want to just make ends meet then you make $20,000.

Example; I know a foot Doctor. I think it called a %26quot;Podiatrist%26quot;. We were talking and he said he loved to play golf. This what he enjoy and like to do more than work. He would sit down at the end of the year and do his math homework. He said, %26quot;If, I made $50,000 last year and come short of my Retirement goals, I figure what I need to make the next year and add that into my work hours. IF, I make $80,000 and realize $65,000 is enough, I cut my work hours and head to the Golf course%26quot;. I liked his way of thinking and do the same. I make my money goal for the year and then adjust my work hours +/- for the next year. So, think this way, know what you need per hour and for a monthly maintenance fee and then try to obtain the number of customers to meet your goal. IF, you see your retirement funds, or, budget for car, house, utilities etc. did not meet your goals add more customers. IF, you go over your Budget, then do not add more customers and keep what you have and hope a few drop you. You NEVER drop your customers because you make too much, just do not take any more on.

I agree with the other guy, you need a new editor. But it would not be impossible with frontpage. You need a lightbox.

If you can get frontpage to do that... I would be shocked.

You need to use javascript or (even better) ajax to make that happen. You should consider moving to a different editor.

im designing a gallery for a forum and i want the gallery which is on a different host than the forum to only be able to be viewed by people who clicked the link on the forums page i don%26#039;t want to have to implement a login system i just want to limit where the users can come from

You could use an HTTP referer... I%26#039;m not actually a web designer type of person, so I don%26#039;t know the specifics, but I don%26#039;t think this system is sound. Perhaps it%26#039;d be easier just to implement password protection.

I need something that is easy to put into my code (I am not very html technical) and I want something that is easy to manage and easy to update reguarly with new blog entries.
