I%26#039;m a wedding videographer. I%26#039;d like to allow clients to keep their event details stored on my site, but I want them to log in to do so - kind of like on a shopping website that brings up all your info once you log in. I%26#039;m using GoLive, and I can make the forms and pages, but when it comes to server-side operations I%26#039;m mostly lost. Is there a good forum where someone might be able to help me?
Good Web Design forum? I need someone to explain how to create user accounts and store information in my site
Adam,
That is a tall order. However, there are content management systems (CMS) free for the download available.
Geeklog is a CMS I use for many of my websites. Search for it. Gallery is a photo/image gallery I also have some experience with. Look for a host with a linux OS and MySQL databases and you will be able to set up the packages.
Coding what you want from scratch is possible but it will take some time %26amp; effort to do so, especially if you have to learn it all from the start.

some web savvy people here http://www.graphic-design-foru... Report It
Other Replys:Tough to do in GoLive. DreamWeaver has server-side functionality. Otherwise, you%26#039;ll have to buy an .asp book to figure that out.
