Need to start a website, but no idea how?

I need to make my site something similar to craigslist%26#039;s rants and raves, where anyone with an email address can post stuff.

just like CL, the email addresses need to be verified before people can post

the only things i know are:

a little html. if you put %26lt; b%26gt; and %26lt; / b%26gt; then the word becomes bold, %26lt; i%26gt; makes them italic

domain and hosting- where you buy your sites name and space.

thats all i know

how can i create this site?

You have to learn HTML, hire someone, or use an HTML editor program. The best of these choices is learning HTML.

I have learned HTML completely and I find that learning from a book is most efficient. I like The Everything Book: Building Your Own Homepage (from the Everything Book series) the most of the books. After learning HTML, the best idea is to learn JavaScript. The Complete Idiot%26#039;s Guide to Creating a Webpage covers a little bit of JavaScript, but not enough to learn adequately.

Good luck!!! ;-)

Go to the public library and check out some books on html and xhtml. Some good books to start with are:

HTML %26amp; XHTML : the definitive guide / Chuck Musciano and Bill Kennedy

Beginning HTML with CSS and XHTML : modern guide and reference / David Schultz and Craig Cook.

Creating Web pages for dummies / by Bud E. Smith and Arthur Bebak

Other Replys:If I were you I would head over to weebly.com

You don%26#039;t need to know any html and it%26#039;s completely free.

Take care!
