Can you recommend a good book or website to learn about publishing web pages?

I want to set up my own web page, which I have designed already, but I%26#039;m not sure how to go about publishing it on the net. I could do with something that will teach me all about how to do it and the costs and anything else I need to know.

I%26#039;ve heard that the series of books %26#039;web page ... for dummies%26#039; is quite good. Any comments?

Thanks for your help.

I am using a company called Sitesell. This is the very first time I have built a website, so I needed a company who could take me by the hand, step by step!

I have nothing but praise for them! They make EVERYTHING so easy! They supply all of the online training, simple (yet incredibly sophisticated tools) and excellent support.

The cost is just $299 (鎷?70) per year That includes all of the above plus domain registration. They even supply the templates for designing your site! And don%26#039;t worry about html coding or other techy stuff as that%26#039;s all taken care of for you!

My site is only 9 months old. It is already very highly ranked by the major search engines and is attracting up to 1000 hits a day! Plus it generates an income which not only covers the costs, but actually shows a healthy profit!

Here%26#039;s my top list that I recommend for anyone wanting to move away from WYSIWYG web design and really grab HTML, CSS and Javascript with both hands.

HTML: HTML, XHTML and CSS by Elisabeth Castro : http://www.cookwood.com/html/buyit/...

Jeffery Zeldmans - Designing for Web Standards : http://www.zeldman.com/dwws/

Jeremy Keiths Dom Scripting : http://domscripting.com/book/

And perhaps the best non design book for web designers: Steve Krug%26#039;s Dont Make Me Think : http://www.sensible.com/buythebook.html
