How can I make a little icon next to my URL on a web page?

I am designing a site for a friend using Dreamweaver and I want to know how to make a little URL icon (like the little green asterick next to http answers.yahoo. com that you can see at the top of your browser...).

How does one accomplish that?

It is a small image file called a favicon.

Here is more information about it:

And here is a site where you can upload an image to generate your favicon:

Other Replys:You mean the picture beside the http://site.com? If so you that is accomplished by simply making a icon file and placing it in the main directory of the site. Then linking to it in the main html file.

This article will explain it better.
