I developed a web site for a non-profit organization, paid all the domain costs, hosting charges, license fees for some components etc. There was no contract in place and we never discussed licensing. Who owns the copyright to the work produced and donated to them?

disable it and discuss licensing.
if your gonna %26quot;donate%26quot; something, there should be no conditions attached.

Who holds the license the license for the website. You or them. If they do,you can%26#039;t disable it.
Other Replys:Well since you were the employee, or a constructive employee if you volunteered the work will belong to the employer, i.e. to the non-profit.
See section 201(b) of title 17

It is a %26quot;work for hire%26quot; unless specified otherwise, and even maybe then.
Use open source software next time :)
