What is the best book to buy for beginners wanting to learn to build websites?

I%26#039;m an absolute beginner trying to get my business up on the internet. I have the domain and hosting and i%26#039;ve tried some of the sitebuilders that different sites offer but I just can%26#039;t find one that i like. I want to learn to do this myself and not have to pay money to have someone else build it. So does anyone know the best books out on the market I can buy that will teach me how to do this? Thanks!

the certification books are good and cheap. look for %26quot;ciw foundations%26quot; and %26quot;i-net+%26quot;. those exams are good to learn webasite making. also try %26#039;html for dummies%26quot;.

first get microsoft frontpage.

Take half an hours time to explore all it options (worthwile) by using the wizard. Then u can create sites well enough to make it look proffesional. Practical knowledge is bettr than bookish knowledge.

But if u really want a book i am not sure cos i leanrt only through frontpage!!!!!!!!

Other Replys:Get any decent book (for dummys etc..) on HTML, CSS, PHP and MYSQL these are basic skills needed for a decent website for a company getting online business, HTML and CSS will help you with design, and PHP with MYSQL will help you build online applications for sales, booking, updating information, PHP is the easiest of all server side languages to learn,

Other Replys:When I built my first web site I bought the book, %26quot;Creating Web Pages Simplified%26quot;. This is a IDG 3-D Visual Series book. The price is $24.95 but you may be able to get a used one on Amazon. I am now on my fourth website and still use it for reference. It is all pictures and visual and set up for the very beginner. It%26#039;s a great way to get introduced to using HTML.

You can also get a free download, NVU for developing your website. Then you won%26#039;t have to buy software like Front Page or Dreamweaver. Here%26#039;s a blurb from their home page:
